Catching a bass is really easy … if you know where the fish are.
Finding active bass willing to strike is what sets apart the weekend warrior from the elite tournament guy who makes a living at it.
So, how do you find them?
Well, you do it with search baits, Dr. Todd A. Kuhn says in the latest episode of Beyond the Bait Powered by Streamlight.

Many bass lures can be search baits — swimming grubs, lipless crankbaits, buzzbaits, swimbaits, wakebaits and others. They’re typically heavier fast-moving baits that can be casted far and retrieved straight back to the boat or bank to induce strikes. Learn more about search baits for bass in the above video.
Beyond the Bait Powered by Streamlight is a 13-episode video series on gameandfishmag.com that focusses on the best baits for bass fishing. Join Dr. Todd A. Kuhn every Tuesday this spring as he goes deep into how bass lures work, what bass find irresistible in them, and how you catch more on your next trip.
