No turkey hunter’s arsenal is complete without the versatile pot call. A pot call will deliver sounds from soft purrs to ringing yelps, and it doesn’t take a musician’s touch to master. The Primos Jackpot builds on this easy-running, great-sounding platform by offering a surface of Pennsylvania slate set into beautiful South American hardwood. "Pennsylvania slate has a softer surface that allows strikers to bite better," notes Matt Rice of Primos. "This easily allows hunters to create authentic turkey sounds. The Jackpot is built right here in Brookhaven, Mississippi, by turkey hunters, for turkey hunters."

In addition, Primos uses select-grade woods for both the pot and tone board of the Jackpot, so the sounds that originate on the slate surface are amplified without distortion. This is a good-looking call, but what isn’t obvious is the unique manner in which the tone board is supported within the call, which creates rich, realistic sounds that Rice argues are "unparalleled at any price."
