Canyon Lake Monster

Went out with my brother Kayak fishing while on Vacation in Arizona. We headed out to Canyon Lake just north of Apache Junction, Arizona. As I was casting the cattails I came across this big female and her mate on a bed. I threw a gulp minnow just to the side of the bed and began to bounce it off the bottom. I saw her ease towards the bait and take a swipe at it but missed. I reeled in and threw back to the spot again. This time she came up to it and inhaled it. I set the hook and the fight was on. After about 5 minutes of fighting with her I was finally able to land her and snap a photo before releasing her back to her bed.

Me and 2 of my best friends Jack O and Jack Lech wanted to relax before finals. So we grabbed the Jon Boat and dropped it in the small lake. I thought my line was hung up on a tree but than I realized I had a fish. Jack o bent down to try and help me reel it in. It was a beauty my biggest bass to date
