The annual ICAST fishing show in Orlando is not open to the public, but organizers have a plan to change that ... sort of.
Called the world's largest fishing industry trade show, the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) show draws thousands of manufacturer reps, tackle buyers, and media members each July.
While it's an industry-only show in person, anglers across the country are extremely interested in the newest and greatest fishing gear that's unveiled at the Orange County Convention Center. Check out our coverage of ICAST 2022
This year, weekend anglers are invited to join the excitement, with the inception of the ICAST Anglers' Choice Best of Show Award, in which the gear-buying public gets to vote for their favorite products.

Voting, open Aug. 21-27 at icastfishing.org , will be based on the 30 new fishing products that won Best of Category Awards from the show's New Products Showcase. There is one vote per email address. Learn more about the winners here
Produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), this year's ICAST featured nearly 600 companies debuting thousands of pieces of tackle, gear, accessories, apparel and more. Around 900 products were entered in the New Products Showcase. The Best of Show Award was determined from the 30 category winners.
"This year, we decided to invite all anglers, everywhere to choose their 'best of the best' by introducing the Anglers' Choice Best of Show Award," ASA Trade Show and Membership VP Blake Swango said in a new release. "Voting is open to everyone to choose their personal favorite from the 30 ICAST 2022 Best of Category award winners to crown a new, people's champion."

"ICAST and ASA will use all their social media channels to get the word out about this exciting new award," Trade Show Committee Chairman Travis Owens (also VP, Pure Fishing & Fin Nor GM) said. "My company will do the same."
