Adam Heggenstaller

Game & Fish Editorial Director Adam Heggenstaller grew up in central Pennsylvania, where schools still close for deer season. Although he has hunted a wide range of game around the world, Heggenstaller is a whitetail hunter at heart. He favors lightweight bolt-action rifles and lever guns chambered for classic cartridges.

After spending a large part of his 20-year career working for the National Rifle Association, Heggenstaller escaped northern Virginia and returned to his home state and the whitetail woods he loves. When he’s not hunting or scouting for the next great stand location, he’s responsible for directing the content of the Game & Fish brand, including four regional editions of Game & Fish magazine, GameandFishMag.com and related social media channels.
