Proof that life jackets and kill switches are life-savers during a boating accident:
Two University of Florida bass anglers were OK after they were ejected from their bass boat this weekend during the FLW College Fishing tournament on Lake Seminole, Ga.
Hunter Bland and Conner Young were flung from their boat during the scary accident, which was captured by the onboard GoPro camera.
Scout.com reported the accident may have happened after a locknut in the steering system apparently came loose as the anglers were running nearly 60 mph.
The FLW requires participants to wear life jackets and kill switches during competition.
Neither angler was injured, another reminder of how important it is to be safe on the water.
