Cooking elk backstrap is made easy and flavorful with this grilled venison recipe

Venison Recipe: Grilled Backstrap Elk Recipe

Serves: 4
Prep time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix together Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, teriyaki sauce, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder; pour over elk pieces.
  2. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  3. Heat grill and sprinkle elk with ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Wrap each piece with bacon and secure with a toothpick or place on a skewer. Grill until bacon becomes lightly burnt and meat is cooked to your liking.
