Mogadore, OH. TenPoint Crossbow Technologies®, an industry leader in crossbow technology and performance, introduced its NEW Turbo XLT II™ model at the January 2012 ATA Trade Show. One of three new crossbows introduced by TenPoint, the Turbo XLT II employs new technology and engineering concepts for a faster and lighter version of the award winning Turbo XLT™.

The Turbo XLT II differs from its predecessor in several ways. While it still features a radically compact bow assembly, spanning 13.5-inches from axle-to-axle when cocked, its 11-inch IsoTaper Limbs™ are now double laminated for improved strength and durability. The bow assembly, fitted with D-75 string and yoked tunable cables powered by NEW MRX™ cams, is mounted on a 7/8" longer barrel that increases the power stroke to 12.875-inches. This new combination produces a sleek and maneuverable 180-pound crossbow that shoots 345 fps with TenPoint's NEW Pro Lite™ carbon arrow.

The Turbo XLT II is also equipped with TenPoint's NEW Fusion Lite™ stock which weighs five ounces less than the original fusion stock. The weight reduction is achieved by a new aesthetic cutout above the trigger guard, a cored-out fore-grip to stabilize the stock dimensions by evenly distributing the composite material during molding, and ventilation holes in the butt stock to help the camo pattern adhere better to the stock.

"By lengthening the barrel, improving the strength of the limbs, and redesigning the MR Cam, we've made the Turbo faster and more powerful," said TenPoint CEO, Rick Bednar. "The icing on the cake is that its new stock design makes the bow lighter as well. As always, our upgrades and improvements come from listening to our customers."

The Turbo XLT II comes standard with TenPoint's 3x Pro-View 2™ Scope and, like all TenPoint crossbows, it features their patented DFI™ (dry-fire-inhibitor) and 3.5-pound PowerTouch™ trigger.

Available with or without one of TenPoint's two patented cocking units, the ACUdraw™ or ACUdraw 50™, the Turbo XLT II is decorated in Realtree APG®.

MAP: $999 with ACUdraw, $899 with ACUdraw 50.

All TenPoint crossbows are USA Owned, Operated, and Manufactured in Mogadore, OH.

On the Range

We've spent lots of time discussing the features of the Lupo and how they benefit hunters. Now, on episode 11 of Beyond the Rifle, it's time to put these features to use on the range. We realize not everyone can shoot a Lupo today, so we hope this episode gives hunters a good idea of the kind of performance they can expect from this rifle.

Trigger Time

Trigger Time

If there is one thing that can make a hunter a better shooter, it's a better trigger. Triggers with heavy pull weights, and excessive creep and overtravel can ruin a shot—and a day—in the deer woods. The Lupo's trigger is designed to help hunters place their shots accurately. Let's look at the details on episode nine of Beyond the Rifle.

Beyond the Bait: How to Use Jerkbaits for Smallmouth

Smallmouths are predators, and few can resist an injured, fluttering baitfish. That's exactly what a jerkbait represents: an easy meal. How you present a jerkbait can make all the difference to smallmouth, and we have some pointers in this episode of Beyond the Bait.
