TenPoint Crossbow Technologies’ new 2014 Shadow Ultra-Lite crossbow is the high-tech manufacturer’s response to a growing consumer preference for more compact, lighter, and quieter crossbows. The Shadow Ultra-Lite’s primary innovation is a new combination lightweight 19.6-inch carbon-injected polymer barrel and 5.5-ounce trigger housing, which dramatically reduces total bow weight to 6.4-pounds.
Following the footprint of the popular 2013 Stealth SS model, the Shadow Ultra-Lite embeds its new lightweight barrel and trigger assembly in the company’s popular Functionally Superior Bullpup (FSB) stock. With its optimal comb-height and length-of-pull, the FSB stock uses strategically placed cutouts or ports in the butt stock to reduce weight. The new barrel floats on rubber inserts and dual-purpose rubber safety wings to reduce noise and vibration as well as helping to keep the shooter’s fore-grip hand safely below the flight deck.
Powered by TenPoint’s proven XLT bow assembly, the Shadow Ultra-Lite is a compact 13.5 inches from axle-to-axle when cocked. Its machined riser is fitted with tactical jet-black 11-inch IsoTaper Limbs, MRX cams, D-75 string and cables, and a detachable, lightweight, coated aluminum foot stirrup.
The combined stock and bow assemblies produce an ultra-narrow and light 180-pound draw-weight model that shoots up to 350 feet per second with TenPoint’s Pro Lite arrow. With its FSB stock and shortened, carbon-injected barrel weighing less than a standard aluminum barrel, the Shadow is highly maneuverable at only 34.4-inches long.

“Building off the popular Stealth SS introduced last year, our engineering team has created one of the most innovative, lightweight crossbows to date for us,” said Rick Bednar, TenPoint’s CEO. “At six pounds, the Shadow Ultra-Lite’s carbon injected components make it one of the lightest crossbows in the market place.”
Like all TenPoint models, the Shadow Ultra-Lite also features the patented Dry-Fire-Inhibitor and a patented, 3.5-pound bullpup version of its PowerTouch trigger.
With its stock double-dip fluid-imaged in Mossy Oak Treestand camo, the bow comes fitted with either TenPoint’s patented ACUdraw or ACUdraw 50 cocking mechanism and the 3x Pro-View 2 scope. The Shadow Ultra-Lite sells only as a complete package that includes three aluminum arrows with Omni Nocks, quiver, and ambidextrous side-mount quiver bracket.
TenPoint is 100 percent USA owned and operated. All TenPoint crossbows are made in Mogadore, Ohio.
