Sean Luxton Appointed General Manager of World Fishing Network U.S.

DENVER and TORONTO (Sept. 8, 2015) – World Fishing Network (WFN), the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers across North America, today announced the appointment of Sean Luxton as General Manager of WFN US effective immediately. Luxton, who will work from the WFN US office in Centennial, Colorado, will report to Jim Liberatore, President and Chief Executive of Outdoor Sportsman Group – Networks, which includes Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network.

Luxton had served as Senior Vice President of Digital and Content Distribution since 2012 in WFN’s Toronto office after previously holding the role of Senior Vice President of Affiliate and Content Distribution at the network’s Centennial, Colorado office from 2010-12. Recently, Luxton was responsible for successfully re-booting the network’s digital platforms as well as overseeing linear distribution efforts that led to new launches on Armstrong, Comcast, Cox Communications, Service Electric and Suddenlink systems, among others. He initially joined World Fishing Network ahead of its launch in December 2005 as Vice President of Content Distribution, starting with zero subs when the network launched in Canada and helping to grow the brand to encompass nearly 60 million households across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.
Earlier in his career, Luxton also held executive positons with Corus Entertainment, a Canadian media and broadcasting company.
