Just because ice anglers take to the hard water in sub-zero temperatures doesn't mean they have to be cold and uncomfortable.
That’s the aim for Frabill with its new Ice Hunter Shelters, which is wrapped in plenty of quilted insulation to keep you warm, more fishable space and easy entry and exit.

The side entry in the new Ice Hunter Sidestep Shelter makes getting in and out easier than ever by letting anglers slip in on the sides without stepping over holes and gear. Both models feature side-by-side boat seats, and the larger model has almost 30 feet of fishable space, rivaling the size of many permanent shanties.
"The layout of the windows and doors make it a tip-up angler's dream," the company said in a press release.
"The Ice Hunter Sidestep Shelter is great for scanning tip-ups. The wide field of vision means you'll never miss a flag," said Dale Stroschein, Frabill ice fishing pro and Freshwater Hall of Fame Angler. "With the side door, you won't trip over your gear as you race to a big fish taking line.”

"The Ice Hunter Front Entry Shelter is perfect for the run-and-gun angler," Stroschein said. "The lightweight and rapid setup lets you move quickly. You can set up shallow and move deeper when the fish get light-sensitive later in the day.”

Ice Hunter shelters feature Mossy Oak™ camo patterns and a complete new window layout. The new design also creates a vertical front wall that offers more room for hook sets. This upright wall geometry reduces the risk of heater damage by moving the fabric further away from the heat source. For durability and light weight, all are constructed with alloy frames that are 30% stronger and 30% lighter. Both designs reflect the cutting edge in portable shelters.
