Enhance the flavor of steak or any wild game meat with this Morel Mushroom Steak Sauce Recipe.

Serves: 2-4

  • 1/2 pound fresh morel mushrooms, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups half & half
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder


  1. In a heavy skillet, sauté morels in butter until they are slightly brown. Add onions and continue to sauté until onions are golden and transparent.
  2. Sprinkle with flour and stir to blend. Add the half & half, stirring occasionally, simmer until thick and creamy.
  3. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper to taste.
