Converting wood logs into natural planters is a simple and beautiful way to enhance your backyard patio.
Supplies Needed:
Directions:
- Cut
Cut the logs to the desired size. Be sure to cut the sections long enough to allow room to drill a 4-inch section for space to place plants. - Drill
Drill a hole into each log about 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep to create a pocket for an annual plant. - Line
Optional: Place landscape fabric in the hole to create a barrier between the wood and the soil. This will help prevent decomposition of the wood. - Plant
Place an annual plant in the hole and fill the remaining space with additional soil as needed. - Display
Display your DIY natural planter in your outdoor space and enjoy!
