Duck hunters need a quality light while setting up decoys and readying gear inside pre-dawn blinds. Traditional flashlights can do the trick in a pinch, but hands-free lighting options are far superior in the field.
One tried-and-true option for hunters is Streamlight’s Green Trident LED Headlamp.
Shock-proof and water-resistant, this headlamp was built with duck hunters in mind. Run time on the high setting (80 lumens), which provides a light-beam distance of 126 meters, is five hours.
The low setting offers 25 lumens and a beam distance of 33 meters and boasts a 19 1/2-hour run time. The green LED produces 6 lumens, has a 15-meter beam distance and runs for 63 hours. Three AAA batteries (included) power the unit.

The head of the unit can be tilted 90 degrees on a solid ratcheting system. The push button for cycling through the settings and turning the unit on and off is designed for easy manipulation with gloved fingers.
Just as important, the durable rubber armor around the bezel will help protect the light when it inevitably ends up on the floor of your truck, boat or blind.
