There are so many chairs on the market that claim to be a camping chair. This begs the questions, what is a camping chair and what factors contribute to a quality one? I have had the pleasure of reviewing the ALPS OutdoorZ Camp Chair. It is lightweight at only 10.5 pounds, collapsible, durable and functional. All of these factors are important for on-the-go, outdoor furniture.

The powder-coated aluminum frame is strong, rust proof and best of all lightweight, making it easy to add to your camping supplies. The detachable back frame and foldable seat make it simple to store on your camper or car for a day on the beach or a vacation getaway. I am a 240-pound guy and the chair consistently holds my weight and feels very sturdy. It is roomy enough to rest my legs over the side and the cup holder securely holds drinks. The mesh material back and bottom keeps me cool on hot days. The tall back makes it comfortable to sit in and the seat is tight and well made to prevent sagging.
