Game & Fish Magazine Names New Editorial Director

Game & Fish Editorial Director Adam Heggenstaller was most recently executive editor at American Hunter.

Outdoor Sportsman Group Publishing (OSG) announces Adam Heggenstaller has been named editorial director of Game & Fish Magazine.

Heggenstaller is charged with leading a talented team of editors, designers and contributors to deliver best-in-class hunting and fishing content to readers across the United States. The announcement was made by Outdoor Sportsman Group Publishing Executive Vice President, Group Publisher and Operations, Derek Sevcik.

“Hiring Adam Heggenstaller is part of a strategic plan to engage, inform and entertain readers on a new level, while strengthening the Game & Fish commitment to providing expert where-to, how-to and gear advice specific to the country’s regions,” Game & Fish publisher Michael Cassidy said. “We are extremely pleased to have someone with Adam’s experience, reputation and professionalism join the OSG family.”

Prior to joining OSG, Heggenstaller spent 14 years with NRA Publications, most recently as executive editor of American Hunter. He is credited with technical knowledge across a wide variety of product categories, experience from a lifetime spent outdoors and a notable reputation for working with top contributors to create content that educates and excites readers.

“There are so many hunting and fishing opportunities across our nation, and my goal at Game & Fish is to equip readers to take advantage of them,” Heggenstaller said. “Game & Fish is one of OSG’s flagship publications because it provides information that gives readers an edge in the field and on the water. I’m looking forward to sharpening that edge through content that will help hunters and anglers find adventure and success.”

Heggenstaller joins a Game & Fish staff that includes editors Dr. Todd A. Kuhn, Laura Kovarik, Josh Ward and Drew Warden. Heggenstaller will work from the company office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
