Dubuque's Steven Dougherty went to Canada's Lake of the Woods for this 44-inch muskie in August 2002. He released the fish in hopes that it'll be even bigger when he goes back!

Gary Sinnard of Forest City was hunting on private land in Cedar County when he took this 25-pound gobbler. The big bird (Gary's first turkey) flaunted a 10-inch beard.

Fishing with his parents at Big Spirit Lake, 8-year-old Tate Schmeling caught a lunker smallmouth that, at 19 1/2 inches, was just 1/2 inch shy of making the Iowa Big Fish Registry.
