Faircloth Carrying Momentum into Elimination Round 3

In the MLF format of zero information, zero practice and zero map study before the competition day begins, it’s hard to pick a favorite going into any of the Elimination Rounds. But going into Elimination Round 3 of the Jack Link’s Major League Fishing 2016 General Tire Summit Cup on the Mississippi River, the early morning standout before the first cast was made had to be Todd Faircloth.
As the pros prepped their tackle at the Nelson Park boat ramp on Pool 7 for day three, Faircloth has two very positive vectors pointing towards him as a favorite. For one, Faircloth has a 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series win on the Mississippi River to his credit. Second, he was fresh off an Elite Series win on St. Clair just two days earlier. In short, strong history and momentum are two factors that come together to create confidence in the game of high stakes heads-up tournament bass fishing.
