Escort Introduces its New Slugger Series of Pump-Actions for 2020 Escort Slugger Pump-Action Escort is introducing its new Slugger series of pump-actions for 2020. This no-frills security shotgun is available in two styles. The Slugger is a synthetic-stocked, ergonomic grip, scattergun with textured grip panels for use in multiple environments. The Slugger Tact is the tactical, pistol-gripped variant for even better control and versatility. Available in 3" magnum 12-gauge, either Slugger model comes in a durable, all-weather, black finish.
Designed with durability and simplicity in mind, the Escort Slugger is built to work hard. The fixed blade front sight is large and easy to find in low light but isn't as delicate as a fiber sight. Mounted sling studs provide solid attachment points for a variety of slings and tethers. The extended pump handle is easy to operate and doesn't require extending one's natural reach during use. Coupled with a fixed cylinder 18" barrel, the 5+1 capacity offers the right combination of portability and competence. A soft rubber buttpad absorbs recoil and improves shooting comfort.
The Tact model additionally features a soft rubber pistol grip with contoured finger grooves and an extra sling mounting point. The buttstock provides an improved cheek weld and space to hold 5 additional shells for greater carrying capacity. The forend also provides space for extras via way of a Picatinny accessory rail.

This gun's Smart Valve Piston will cycle 7/8 oz, 2 ¾" up to 3" full magnum loads, credited to its self-regulating design. Each gun ships with 5 interchangeable chokes: Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder. The 28-inch-long barrel is equipped with a bright red fiber optic front sight, improving low-light visibility. Every Hatsan barrel is proof tested and hard chrome lined to ensure maximum durability and corrosion resistance. The advanced polymer synthetic stock is both light and durable, with checkering on the grip surfaces for improved control and feel of the shotgun. Heavy-duty steel sling studs come pre-mounted and ready to be used.

Escort's well-regarded line of pump-action shotgun is now available in turkey-specific models. The FieldHunter Turkey isavailable in 12-GA, 20-GA, and .410-Cal and is tailored with the turkey shooter in mind. Chambered in 3" magnum, this shotgun will handle both 2 ¾" and 3" loads. The stock and forend are made from a tough, durable synthetic polymer, built to withstand the elements. The extended forend is easy to hold and cycle without the need to extend one's reach. An aircraft alloy receiver and hard chromed steel barrel will ensure long service life.
The FieldHunter Turkey is available in two camo patterns: RealTree APG and Mossy Oak BottomLand. Each gun ships with 3 interchangeable chokes suitable for a variety of turkey hunting situations. A 5-inch long cantilever optics rail features 4 cross-slots to accommodate a variety of Weaver mounts. The gun is also equipped with bright fiber optic front and rear sights for low-light hunting. The red front fiber is windage adjustable while the green fiber rear sight is both windage and elevation adjustable. Both fibers can be removed entirely to make way for mounted optics. All of Hatsan's barrels are hard chrome lined for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
