FULSHEAR, TX – Military Warriors Support Foundation attended the Brazos River Sportsman's Club for dinner and a live auction fundraiser recently. This event, a first for MWSF, raised money for the Skills4Life program , which has helped many Wounded Heroes and Gold Star Families attend and participate in events throughout the year.
Brazos River Sportsman's Club and owner Leigh John Bentley showed their support by hosting the event. This club features a 10-lane pistol range, several rifle ranges (25, 52, 100, and 200 yards), tactical training, clay shoots and women's-only training. With enough space, the club can host a small or large event that can fit any reasonable needs.
A dinner and live auction was held at Anthonie's Market Grill . Anthonie Dekker, the proprietor, is a Dutch-born chef who has had the pleasure of cooking for many notable individuals. In addition, Bubba Strait, Kyle Park, John Michael Whitby and Jason Roberts performed; the band has strong ties to George Strait , a supporter of Military Warriors Support Foundation.
With George Strait's help, MWSF presented homes and vehicles to Heroes and Gold Star Spouses on stage. The dinner and auction at Anthonie's raised more than $173,000.

The Skills4Life Program started in 2007 to provide recreational outdoor experiences and mentorship. Programs are open to combat-wounded veteran Heroes and Gold Star Spouses. Various gatherings throughout the year – such as the Shootout on the Brazos - allow organizers to support the Heroes and their families. Some events are even developed for Heroes' children and spouses.
With events and support from Leigh John Bentley and Anthonie Dekker, Skills4 Life will be able to continue their support for Heroes and Gold Star Families.
