CZ-USA’s new Bren 2 Ms Carbine

CZ-USA debuted its new Bren 2 Ms Carbine at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, rounding out their popular Bren 2 platform of semi-automatic firearms.

First released to the U.S. public in pistol form, this new version of the Bren 2 has been built to meet 922(r) compliance and is equipped with a 16.5-inch barrel and an adjustable, foldable stock.

Based on the select-fire Bren 2, this rifle operates via a short-stroke gas piston system with a return spring contained within the action itself. Without the need for a buffer tube, it features a folding, adjustable stock. At 35.6 inches long, folding that stock brings its length down to just 28 inches — making it much easier to transport or store.

A true lightweight, the Bren 2 has an aluminum upper and a carbon fiber composite lower. The 'Ms' designation means that it employs a modular forend that can be swapped to different lengths or styles based on user preference/need.

Its non-reciprocating charging handle stays stowed in the forward position until it is needed and is swappable from side to side. If needed, it can also be used as a forward assist. An AR-style bolt catch/release system is mirrored on both sides of the firearm, as well as a catch/release nestled into the front of the trigger guard. The magazine release and safety are also ambidextrous.

CZ-USA's Bren 2 Ms is a proven performer that will be a sure winner in its new carbine configuration.
