For many bass anglers, the best day to go fishing is when you can, and sometimes that means less-and-ideal fishing success.
But you can increase your chances of bass-fishing limits by targeting high-percentage areas where active bass reside. The No. 1 structure element for bass fishing at the lake, river, or farm pond is a point.
"If you focus on points, it gives you the best opportunity to intercept bass throughout the day." Crash Course video host Shane Beilue says in "How to Fish Shoreline Points."
Points offer bass highways between shallow and deep water, ambush opportunities for feeding, and a variety of cover.

For aggressive bass on points, moving baits like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and swim jigs are all good choices.
Beilue adds not to overlook more subtle shoreline out-croppings.
