BRP Adds Seven Bass Anglers to Team Evinrude

STURTEVANT, Wis., Feb. 24, 2011 – BRP is proud to announce the addition of seven new bass anglers to Team Evinrude, the company's elite professional fishing team, for the 2011 season.

Leading the way is 14-year FLW Outdoors veteran and 3-time FLW Angler of the Year Clark Wendlandt. With career winnings of more than $1.6 million and 34 career top-10 finishes, Wendlandt joins Team Evinrude looking to build on his already esteemed career.

Joining Wendlandt as the newest Team Evinrude anglers on the FLW Tour are Scott Suggs (Bryant, Ark.), Wesley Strader (Spring City, Tenn.), Terry Bolton (Jonesboro, Ark.), Ron Shuffield (Bismarck, Ark.), Randall Tharp (Gardendale, Ala.) and Scott Canterbury (Springville, Ala). The anglers have won more than $6 million in prizes and have more than 70 years of tournament experience on the FLW Tour combined.

Evinrude Marks 10th Season as a Sponsor of FLW Outdoors

For the 10th consecutive year, Evinrude has signed on to be a presenting sponsor with the FLW Outdoors. In support of the sponsorship, Evinrude will have an on-site presence at all FLW Tour and FLW Open tournaments.

Evinrude’s 53’ mobile marketing trailer will be making appearances at all FLW Tour events, including new stops in Greenville, S.C., Chattanooga, Tenn. and Shreveport, La. The trailer includes Evinrude E-TEC engine displays, the 100-year history of the Evinrude brand, and representatives from Evinrude will be available to answer visitor questions.

Also planned throughout the year are consumer test ride events, where fans attending FLW Tour events can take an Evinrude E-TEC-powered Ranger rig on the water for a demo, and meet and greets with several Team Evinrude anglers.

Evinrude Adds Contingency Awards to Bass Fishing League (BFL) Tour

Evinrude announced today the addition of contingency awards for the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL). The highest placing angler for each regular-season tournament will receive a $1,000 contingency award, and anglers who finish in the top five places in the year-end BFL All-American Tour Championship are qualified for additional contingency winnings of up to $10,000.
