Bear is very lean and a great edition to your dinner table. The BBQ is a great place to cook this Bear Meatloaf Recipe. Watch Rick Brown cook this recipe in the video and then make your own using the recipe below!
Serves: 4-6
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds bear hamburger
- 1/4 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup chopped raw bacon
- 1/2 cup red pepper
- Minced 1/2 cup onion
- Chopped 1/2 cup carrots
- Chopped 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup ketchup
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients.
- Form the bear-pork mixture into a sprayed or oiled meatloaf pan.
- Bake at 350°F in a barbecue, over indirect heat, for about 1 hour or until meat is firm and reaches an internal temperature of 150° degrees.
- Let bear meatloaf rest 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
