Serves: 4-6 Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Top your BBQ Venison Burger off with more Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce for an extra punch of flavor that is sweet, smoky, and tangy. (Photo courtesy of Traeger) Directions:
When you are ready to cook your burgers, start your Traeger according to grill instructions. Set the temperature to 350 degrees and allow to pre-heat, lid closed, for 10-15 minutes. Place the bacon slices directly on the grill grate and cook for 15 minutes until the fat is rendered and the bacon is crispy. Remove from grill and let cool. When bacon is cool, break it into pieces. Combine the venison, barbecue sauce, bacon pieces, and cheese into a large bowl. Mix everything carefully so the ingredients are spread evenly. Once mixed, press the ground venison into burger patties. Place the burger patties directly on the grill grate and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, flipping halfway through. Once the burgers are done, pair them with your favorite bun and top with your choice of toppings. I personally don’t add a bun or condiments as the burger is so good, you don’t need them. Enjoy! Be sure to grab lots of napkins for these BBQ Venison Burgers, you are going to need them. (Photo courtesy of Traeger) For more Traeger recipes, visit: https://www.traegergrills.com/recipes
