Backpacks for Bowhunters from Alps Outdoorz

The Contender X and Hybrid X showcased at ATA 2020. Here's what to know.

Alps Outdoorz featured two new backpack especially designed for bowhunters — the Contender X and Hybrid X — at the annual Archery Trade Association trade show 2020 in Indianapolis.

Contender X

The ALPS OutdoorZ Extreme Contender X is the designed form the tree-stand or ground hunter.

Features/Specifications

  • Innovative self-standing L-shape frame allows you to set your pack on any flat surface
  • Unique U-shaped zipper provides extra-large, flip-down top access to the main compartment—perfect for easy gear access while hanging in your stand or sitting on the ground without losing any of your pack contents
  • Convenient organizational pocket accessible from exterior and interior of pack—keeping the essentials at your fingertips at all times
  • Molded foam suspension
  • Lycra® shoulder straps for added comfort with load lifters
  • Heavy duty fabrics used throughout
  • Fabric features Elimishield® Scent Control Technology to help eliminate scent
  • Hypalon used at stress points and extra lashing points
  • Works great to hang from tree with D-ring clip
  • Drop down pocket to carry your gun or bow securely
  • Waist belt includes pockets and can accommodate clip-style holsters

  • Hydration pocket with two side-outlet hydration ports

Hybrid X

The highly versatile Hybrid X is a Western-inspired pack, offering all the conveniences of a day pack while providing the function of a meat hauler.
