The Ike Foundation Scholarship Dinner
THE IKE FOUNDATION HELPING HUNDREDS OF KIDS WITH ITS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP DINNER
“HOOK ‘EM EARLY” ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2019
The Ike Foundation continues to support its mission to help kids get off their phones, and into the outdoors to fish, and this year is no exception. The Foundation’s goal is providing youths with the opportunity to learn to fish that encourages less screen time, and more time outside, enjoying the sport. “Our mission is to get more kids fishing especially in areas where those activities are not readily available,” said Mike Iaconelli, Founder of the Ike Foundation. “In a technology obsessed world, kids often spend all of their time in front of screens.”
Mike is known for his creativity to get outside and fish wherever he goes, including in a Philadelphia sewer https://tinyurl.com/y7ykyqhp, and in Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, New York https://tinyurl.com/ycrscjt2(skip to minute 13:40).
The non-profit foundation has helped hundreds of kids nationwide every year since it was founded. The official motto of The Ike Foundation is “Together we can Hook ‘em Early,” and that is just what it is doing for thousands of youths.

ABOUT THE IKE FOUNDATION
The Ike Foundation was founded in 2014 by professional bass angler, Michael Iaconelli and his wife, Becky Iaconelli. The non-profit foundation’s mission is to introduce kids to the sport of fishing and the outdoors. The foundation was created with the purpose of supporting youth fishing clubs, civic groups and charitable organizations that promote the sport of fishing, the ecology of the outdoors, and the responsibility each person has to maintain our planet’s natural resources. The community involvement allows kids to learn about fishing and gain a love for outdoors, especially in communities where this is not always readily available.
