ORLANDO — This is ICAST 2018.

For the 61styear, the annual International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades show (ICAST for short) brings together the newest products and innovations for anglers just like you.

The latest and greatest sportfishing gear, accessories and apparel will be showcased Wednesday through Friday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando — attracting around 15,000 people on 200,000 square feet of floor space.

ICAST, put on since the late 1950s by the American Sportfishing Association, is the “cornerstone of the sportfishing industry,” according to event organizers.

For the average angler, it means gear. Lots of it. Even more than one person could possibly see in just one day.

“It’s always an exciting time of the year for us,” Game & Fish Editor-in-Chief John Geiger said Tuesday. “I hope it is for [weekend anglers], too, because this is where we find out about a ton of new products.”

We expect to learn more about new lures from Berkley, innovations from electronics manufacturers like Humminbird and Lowrance, terminal tackle from VMC, and Abu Garcia’s ultra-fast Revo Rocket baitcast reel.

But there will be much, much more new and cool stuff, so stay tuned by clicking here, or follow us on social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
