WFN Lands Marketing Partnership with IGFA

Two Industry Leaders Work Together to Promote Conservation Issues

DENVER, CO. - OCT. 26, 2009 - WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle network, and the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), today announced an extensive three-year marketing partnership. Through the agreement, IGFA will leverage WFN's multi-media platform and regional production bureaus to promote its conservation and fundraising efforts and in turn, promote WFN, its programs and promotions to members across North America.

"It is an honour to join forces with a respected and powerful organization such as the IGFA to bring more attention to the issues affecting America's 60 million passionate anglers," says Mark Rubinstein, President of WFN. "Not only will our partnership help each of us grow, but together we can expose and educate anglers on important conservation issues to benefit our world."

Through the partnership, WFN will promote IGFA's conservation efforts in a variety of ways including: an extensive on-air and online advertising campaign; sweepstakes and promotions; the production of monthly regional video features for the IGFA website of important conservation stories; monthly regional features on WFN's Reel Road Trip with Mark Melnyk; and more. Each week on WFN News, Mark Melnyk hosts "IGFA Hot Catches," a look at record-breaking - or near record-breaking - catches from around the world as submitted to IGFA. WFN has also launched a promotional campaign on-air called "Fishing is Big," comparing some of the phenomenal record-breaking catches from around the world to other great sports records.

In turn, the IGFA will promote WFN to its members, host WFN events at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, and provide WFN the right to use the IGFA Corporate Partner logo on-air, online and on advertising and promotional material.

"This partnership with WFN provides us a powerful media platform to promote our initiatives and important conservation issues to anglers across North America," said Mike Myatt, Chief Operating Officer of the IGFA. "We look forward to a long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnership."

Like millions of anglers across North America, WFN is committed to supporting important conservation issues and groups that are fighting to preserve North America's waterways and fisheries. WFN is also dedicated to using its resources and powerful media platform to help grow the sport by promoting and championing groups and organizations that are helping to inspire a new generation of anglers to appreciate and respect the world's natural wonders.

About IGFA

Launched in 1939, IGFA is a membership-driven organization responsible for all saltwater and freshwater world records and for spreading awareness of fishery and conservation issues to fishermen around the world. IGFA's objectives are founded on the beliefs that game fish species, related food fish, and their habitats, are economic, social, recreational, and aesthetic assets which must be maintained, wisely used and perpetuated; and that the sport of angling is an important recreational, economic, and social activity which the public must be educated to pursue in a manner consistent with sound sporting and conservation practices.

An elected International Committee of more than 300 sport fishermen and women represents the IGFA in fishing areas throughout the world. International Committee members act as liaisons between recreational fishermen, fishing clubs, local governments and fishery agencies in their areas and IGFA headquarters.
