Contest Winner Larry Llanes of Madera, CA. and Roger Craig to Spend Sept. 25 on the Water off the Coast of San Francisco

DENVER, CO - SEPT. 22, 2010 - WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle network, announced today that Larry Llanes of Madera, CA. will spend an unforgettable day fishing with former professional football star Roger Craig as the winners of the WFN: World Fishing Network Bay Area Contest looking for Northern California's most passionate angler..

On Saturday, Sept. 25, Llanes, age 39, Craig and a WFN camera crew will board a Bass Tub fishing charter boat from Fisherman's Wharf and spend the day off the coast, fishing and talking football.


"Spending the day on the water with a legendary ballplayer that is also a passionate angler is surely a fish tale that will last a lifetime," said Shauna Gosevitz, Senior Director of Marketing for WFN. "Larry's passion for fishing was evident in his essay, so to reward him with this memorable experience is more than we could ask at WFN."

During the spring, WFN conducted contest in Chicago, Chesapeake and The Bay Area looking for the area's most passionate anglers. Entrants completed and essay telling WFN why they are the area's most passionate anglers. Fellow anglers voted on the essays and a panel of WFN judges selected the winners and awarded them a $1,000 cash prize, WFN merchandise and the chance for them and their fishing buddy to spend a day on the water with a local sports legend.
