Vermillion Snapper Season Opens In South Atlantic Waters Sunday, April 1

The seasonal closure for vermillion snapper in the waters ofthe South Atlantic comes to an end Saturday, March 31. Beginning Sunday,April1, anglers fishing in federal waters may keep up to five vermillionsnapper in addition to the daily aggregate bag limit of 10 snappers.Vermillion snapper must be a minimum of total length of 12inches. The season is closed from November 1 through March 31. Federal watersin the South Atlantic start three miles from shore and extend 200 miles intothe South Atlantic.
