The LBAA Arrives at Old Hickory

The Lady Bass Anglers Association has traveled to Tennessee's Old Hickory Lake for the second regular season tournament of the 2013 tour. The registration meeting held today at Barefoot Charlie’s Restaurant in Hendersonville was fun and exciting as the ladies reviewed the rules and regulations and anglers and co-anglers were paired up for the tournament. The event will have the lady anglers competing to bring in the heaviest limit of largemouth, smallmouth or spotted bass. The angler in each division with the largest combined two day weight will be awarded the top cash prize for her division. The excitement filled the air as the ladies partnered up and discussed their plans for day one. Pam Ridgle and Donna Bilbrey pictured above will be fishing from one of the boats that will be competing in the first day of the event.

The ladies will be challenged with the rising water of Old Hickory Lake and vast amounts of debris floating all throughout the water. The event is also threatened with a 60% chance of rain with the possibility of thunderstorms Friday with more rain expected Saturday, proving that the ladies are as serious about tournament fishing as some men are. Saunders Ferry is the designated launch site for the event with the weigh-in each day to take place at 3:00 PM CST at the Sam’s Club located at 301 Indian Lake Blvd in Hendersonville Tennessee. Come out and watch as the ladies bring their bass to the scales. If you can’t make it out in person, Southern Sports Group will be uploading a live video feed of the weigh in. You can watch the coverage at 3:00 PM by clicking here.  //

The results of day one and day two will be available on the Team Bilbrey Fishing site, WFN following the event, as well as on the LBAA web site. I hope to see you at the weigh in.

Happy Fishing!
