The Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) Pro Tour Has Launched!
GADSDEN, Ala., March 8th, 2013—Lady Bass Anglers Association, (LBAA), a nation-wide women’s pro bass fishing tour, hit the waters of Neely Henry in Gadsden, Alabama at safe light today with their first tour of the 2013 season underway. Some of the top names associated with the LBAA are fishing this event such as Pam Martin-Wells, (pictured above) 2010 Bassmaster Classic Qualifier, 2012 Angler of the Year, Kim Bain-Moore, and 2012 LBAA Classic Winner Cheryl Bowden. Pros are expected to be arriving from as far away at Washington State and as close as Birmingham, Alabama. The LBAA Pro Tour is the only professional level women’s tour operating in the United States.
The ladies blasted off in style from Coosa Landing Marina at safe light this morning with a via live streaming weigh-in scheduled for a 3pm start each day so you can watch the event on the LBAA web site. There will be plenty of on-site seating for those in the Gadsden AL area that would like to come out and show support. The 2013 LBAA Women’s Pro Bass Tour will have larger venues, with a bigger footprint and greater media coverage to make this year’s tour bigger and better than ever. The LBAA having partnered with Southern Sports Group, who has taken responsibility for all the new marketing elements that will be seen in this year’s tour. The LBAA is very excited about elevating the tour to a higher exposure level so that more people can see the talent and endurance that these women bring to the sport of bass fishing.
The City of Gadsden and the Gadsden Parks and Recreation Department have done a great job preparing for today’s event. Coosa Landing is a great marina to host a tournament and the hope it to have some great numbers at weigh-in.
