The 2010 fishing forecast for SE Colorado

The Colorado Department of Natural Resources has released their 2010 fishing forecast. Prepared by a team of aquatic biologists, the forecast covers 42 rivers, lakes, ponds and reservoirs in south east Colorado.

The biologists have included information on water levels, plant growth and other factors affecting fish spawning they have also included information on how many fish will be stocked in each body of water throughout the season.

The team also included information on boat launches and Colorado's concerns about aquatic nuisance species (ANS). They explain which launches will have inspections and what to do to help prevent the spread of ANS.

Using this information and looking back at previous years the biologists are able to tell the anglers what will be best to fish this year and the best way to catch it.
