Steelhead Fishing - Vancouver Island
has seen some unreal action this year in the river's surrounding Port Renfrew. We were out mid December and hooked up with several Coho salmon up to 18 lbs and still in great shape with lots of fight.
The water conditions were high but clear giving anglers lots of water to cast for Steelhead. The Steelhead did not disappoint, they hammered almost everything we tried. The most consistent action came from float fishing with pink yarn ball fished in the seams of fast and slow water.
It only gets better as the season will be in full swing come the new year!
