starting the 2011 season

Well its that time of the year again, after waiting for the small ponds in the area to get rid of the ice, my grandson and I have finally started fishing again. Having used the winter months to clean, oil and grease up the rod and reels, respooling reels and getting new reels and rods. My grandson and I have finally started fishing in the area, hitting 2 ponds to start on a Sunday afternoon. Not having to much luck at the first pond we took a break and got something to eat and drink we moved to the second pond. After fishing for about 2 hours we were getting ready to leave when my grandson yelled at me he was hungup on something but once I got there and tried to free his lure the line started moving, giving him the rod back he reeled in his very firts 2 plus pound largemouth bass. With him still in school we only have the weekends we can fish for right now, he is ready to catch more and larger ones, plus I have a couple BFL mets coming up, one next month on the Potomac River, Pictures of both will follow, so till then happy fishing. I can't wait till the 15th and 16 of April, the first BFL tournament.
