St. Croix Legend Inshore Wins Best Saltwater Rod At ICAST

St. Croix's completely revised hyper-performance Legend Inshore saltwater rods raise the bar for quality once again. And it was proven in the 2012 ICAST show as it won the award for Best Saltwater Rod.Built on high-modulus, high-strain SCIV graphite with St. Croix's proprietary Fortified Resin System (FRS), the new Legend Inshore rods are a third stronger than previous models. FRS is a new, proprietary manufacturing protocol that employs a special fortified resin with new state-of-the-art curing ovens to produce blanks that are 33% stronger than those built with standard resins and curing methods. FRS prevents microbuckling by keeping carbon fibers in proper alignment. The blanks are designed using St. Croix's Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology for continuous-curve tapers, and internally strengthened at key stress points using Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART). They're fitted with Kigan Master Hand Zero Tangle guides with zirconia rings and titanium frames for the ultimate protection against saltwater corrosion. The unique sloped, wide-leg design prevents line tangles with mono, fluorocarbon and super braid lines.Fuji SK2 split reel seats deliver the ultimate in light weight and sensitivity, and spinning models come with a super-grade cork handle while casting models are fitted with super-grade cork split-grip handles. A corrosion-proof delrin wind check and reel seat trim pieces, plus two coats of Flex Coat slow-cure finish to protect the thread wraps complete the strongest, most sensitive premium-performance inshore saltwater rod on the market today. Legend Inshore rods retail between $270 - $350.All Legend Inshore rods are designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, WI and protected by a lifetime limited warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service.
