Southeast Florida Fishing Report ? Week 1? October 2012Offshore on the troll, Dorado, Kingfish and scattered BFT were in 180-450 feet. fishing around flotsam, weeds and birds with. Skirted Ballyhoo, strip baits, and Lures produced well. The swordfish remains consistent at night.On the reefs and wrecks, Mutton Snapper, Kingfish, Grouper, were in 90-200 feet Sardines, mullet, and cut baits turned on the bite.Near shore, along the beaches, piers, inlets and the Intracoastal Waterway, Blue fish, Blue Runners, Spanish /Cero mackerel, Snappers, and Jacks, were there. Mullet, shrimp, pilchards, cut baits and lures all produced fish. The best Snook action was around docks, bridges at night.In freshwater, the Big O and smaller lakes were producing well. The water level is holding high. Grass is getting tall and the water is clear and cooling down. The bass bite outside the grass lines produced well. Live shiners, lures, spinner baits produced well. Big Largemouth in the 8-9 pound range can be caught.  In canals Largemouth and Peacock Bass are biting well. With colder water the good bit period have been extended.Tight Lines, Bent Poles, and Screaming Drags!!!Stay Salty My Friends!!!!
