SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER? REALLY!!
So the word today was six more weeks of winter. My answer to this, "hey doesn't spring come the same time every year". Every year at this time there is six more weeks of winter, that's just the way it works. When I left for work this morning it looked like there was going to be six more years of winter, maybe that is an over statement but the snow was flying today.
I don't mind the snow, I just find it inconvenient at times, like shoveling the driveway earlier and having to do it again later when the plow goes by.
This is my area this morning, like many areas we were getting blasted with snow and we still are now. I just can't see a Ground Hog digging his way out today to see if he can see his shadow. They're smarter than that, they'll stay under ground until the weather gets better.
The six week wait for spring will go by pretty quick, It's the five month wait for Bass season to open for us Canucks that seems to take forever. Let me refresh,
A Large Mouth, now I remember them. It seems so long since I've had an opportunity to share a special moment with a special fish. Don't get me wrong, ice fishing is great, but nothing beats tossing a lure out and landing a beauty fish. The excitement of a Bass slamming a top water lure is something that I look forward to on opening day.
Of course opening day can never come quick enough, let the five month countdown begin.
Thank god for Walleye and Pike in May.
