During our time spent at SHOT Show 2016, the Game & Fish online staff took great interest in what Alex Brittingham from Franchi had to say about the new Catalyst Affinity.
The Franchi Catalyst Affinity is a special gun, in that it was designed specifically for the woman shooter. The gun is offered in 12-gauge, with a 28" barrel. What's great about this gun is that it has a raised comb, which allows the female cheek bone to properly rest on the stock of the gun. The Catalyst Affinity also offers a shorter length-of-pull and reduced recoil, allowing females of different ages and size to easily handle the gun.
The stock of the Catalyst Affinity is optimized to feel right in a woman's hands. Compared to a stock designed for men, the Affinity Catalyst's drop, cast, and pitch are all tailored to a woman's build. The lighter weight, fit, feel and responsiveness are all noticeable. These features allow for an outstanding level of control and outright pleasure in what stands to become the industry's most affordable, Inertia Driven, semiautomatic shotgun made specifically for women.
Coated in a beautiful A-grade satin walnut finish and light as a feather at just 6.6 lbs., the Franchi Catalyst Affinity was one SHOT Show 2016 product we didn't mind seeing twice. Look for this amazing gun around March at an MSRP of $999.00.
