Sautéed Clams Recipe

Rather than breading or deep-frying, try this simple recipe that captures the unique flavor of all clams.

Serves: 2
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup clam meat
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, slivered
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 lemon wedge
  • Hot sauce (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil on medium-high heat. Add garlic and clams, sautéeing for 1 minute. Add wine and bring to a boil, letting wine reduce 1 to 2 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Remove from heat, add parsley and squeeze lemon over clams.
  3. Serve in a bowl or shallow dish; include pan juices.
