The latter part of August serves as a catalyst that ignites big game seasons around the country. Yes, the countdown has begun and your success hinges on a basic tenant, to be 100% prepared. So, this week on The Revolution with Jim & Trav, our panel of notable pros’ will give us a crash course in what it takes to be an organized hunter and to have steadfast purpose, in the woods this fall. Joining us for a no-holds-barred interview will be Terry Drury of Drury’s THIRTEEN. Then, the Vice President of Product Development for Leupold, Tim Lesser, will call in. And finally, Jim Shockey of UNCHARTED will give us a ring from the field. The Revolution is presented by Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network and MyOutdoorTV.

Many serious hunters would give away their first born just to get the secrets of deer hunting pros like the Drury’s. Their years of experience have given them a substantial amount of insight when it comes to planning and executing habitat improvement, food plots, and overall hunting strategies. Fortunately, for hunters everywhere, they are willing to share their knowledge and viewers can see it every week on a new season of Drury’s THIRTEEN on Outdoor Channel. Terry Drury of Drury’s THIRTEEN as well as Dream Season and Bow Madness, joins The Revolution this week to talk the importance of timber stand improvement and doe management. He’ll also discuss the different tactics they give out on Drury’s THIRTEEN throughout the season including date ranges and strategies that make their seasons more successful, and if employed correctly, can make your hunts more successful as well.

Regardless of where you hunt, one thing that all outdoorsmen have in common is a need for reliable glass, whether it’s binoculars, rifle scopes or range finders. This week, Tim Lesser, the VP of Product Development at Leupold, will join Jim and Trav to talk about quality glass that will last forever and has an incredible lifetime warranty to back it up. He’ll discuss the Leupold BX-2 TIOGA HD, great for virtually any hunter, as well as the BX-5 SANTIUM HD in 15x56 for those who need something built for distance. Switching gears, Tim will discuss their line of rifle scopes to fit any budget like the VX-3, as well as the VX-6 HD and he’ll emphasize their commitment to quality products, regardless of the price point.

Tune in to The Revolution this week as Jim Shockey, host of Jim Shockey’s UNCHARTED on Outdoor Channel, joins us as he is hiking to get in sheep shape. Jim says that with any hunt, but especially sheep, hunters need to be prepared for the physical demands of the hunt, but also realistic about the outcome. “There’s no guarantee, that’s one of the great things about hunting.” Jim says you can be prepared, however you are at the mercy of mother nature for whether or not you’ll have the opportunity to see or shoot an animal. Jim will then talk about the new season of UNCHARTED and the destinations they are taking viewers to. He’ll go in depth about his invitation to Point Hope, Alaska to watch the Inupiaq people hunt whales and what he learned from that experience.
