Register For The BOW, California Multi-Course Workshop
The "Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, California" organization has scheduled its popular multi-course workshop for Oct. 22-24th at Wonder Valley Ranch. The workshop location is nestled in the foothills on 75 acres shaded by groves of mature oaks and sycamores about 45 minutes east of Fresno. The perfect getaway!The workshop offers hands-on instruction in fly fishing, fly tying, map and compass reading, GPS, outdoor/Dutch oven cooking, personal self defense, shotgun shooting, archery, knot tying, backpacking, kayaking, and more. It's been described as a spa weekend outdoors!Workshop instructors are top-notch and include professional biologists, hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts who have experience instructing women.The scenic drive to Wonder Valley Ranch through the Sierra Nevada foothills takes you past some wonderful sights, including the majestic Kings River and Pine Flat Dam. .Application deadline for the workshop is October 15th. A registration fee of only $395 covers a choice of four outdoor learning courses starting Friday at noon and ending Sunday after lunch, two nights lodging, seven delicious and ample meals, evening programs, raffles, give-aways, and more. The fun, the renewed confidence, the camaraderie and the memories are all free.And, this year, thanks to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, we are offering 20 partial scholarships.
