RBFF CEO To Take Part In AGO Briefing
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) announced its president and CEO Frank Peterson has been invited to attend a White House policy briefing for sportsmen and sportswomen about implementing the America's Great Outdoors (AGO) Initiative. The briefing will take place on Monday, June 13.
"We're pleased to be part of this important briefing about conservation and recreation in America," said Peterson. "The future of boating and fishing, and conservation of our aquatic natural resources depends on participation. And the more we can engage in programs that address the future of how our nation supports conservation and outdoor recreation, the better."
AGO was established in April 2010 by President Obama to support and promote community-level conservation efforts and to reconnect Americans to the outdoors. It takes as its premise that lasting conservation solutions should rise from the American people - that the protection of our natural heritage is a non-partisan objective shared by all Americans. AGO turns to communities for local, grassroots conservation initiatives and calls for reworking inefficient policies and making the Federal Government a better partner with states, tribes and local communities.
