This recipe for oven-roasted okra goes perfectly with bacon-wrapped poussin.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes


  • ½ pound fresh okra
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Trim ends from okra. Place cut okra in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place seasoned okra on a cookie sheet or baking pan and roast for 10-12 minutes. Serve.
