(From Pure Fishing news release) Iconic fishing brands Abu Garcia , Berkley , PENN and Ugly Stik have joined forces to help anglers stay connected with fishing despite limitations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Through "Fish Through It,” the companies want to remind families of the joys of fishing — and its ways of creating "social distancing" in the outdoors.
"In light of the global COVID-19 crisis, families and individuals are in need of safe, engaging and socially responsible activities suitable for all ages," parent company Pure Fishing said in a news release.
"Fish Through It" aims to help anglers make the most of stay-at-home guidelines they may face in the coming weeks and months, offering tips and techniques for anglers of all skill levels.

"The websites for Abu Garcia, Berkley and PENN are serving up interesting and timely content. Each brand is puts its own spin on the idea with unique content geared toward their respective community," according to the press release.
"Fish Through It" wants to inspire all anglers to continue their love of fishing, even if their ability to get on the water is hampered, or even eliminated, by the restrictions in place in the fight against COVID-19. Anglers are reminded to remain in compliance with local and national regulations and guidelines regarding activities outside of the home.
"For those under shelter-in-place orders, 'Fish Through It' will provide interesting fishing content to enhance fishing skills that can be deployed when we can all safely and responsibly return to the water," the companies said.
On social media, Berkley has launched its 14-Day Challenge, hosted by professional bass angler Hunter Shryock to get anglers and families engaged both in and out of the house (when and where permitted). The challenge began on Monday March 30. Each day, a new challenge will be presented via the Berkley Facebook page and the Instagram Page where people are encouraged to submit their responses to the challenges in order to win prizes and engage with the online community. Official rules can be found at the Berkley "Fish Through It" page .
