Hit the river tonight in the pond hopper and enjoyed a perfect July night.

The area has been pounded like never before so the Bass are a lot less than usual. This time of year I am usually good for 15 or 20 Bass an outing. Tonight I caught a few and missed a couple nice ones.

I tried throwing some soft plastics but I was only getting real small Bass, so I started burning a Buzz Bait.  I was able to cover ground more quickly. Some people have been taking there limit in the morning and again in the evening. I knew I was going to have to be efficient with my time if I wanted to find what Bass were left in the area.

That crazy storm we had not long ago blew a tree where I go on shore to each lunch once and while.

Thought that was pretty neat.

A big fat Beaver on the shore eating a branch, I didn't think he really needed anymore to eat. It almost looks like a Bear Cub. I did some more fishing.

To finish the night off I caught a small one.

The weather was perfect but the fishing was less than stellar, even though I missed a couple nice ones, It's starting to show that people are taking their limit of fish out far to often.

It was a nice evening, I enjoyed the outing, until I ran into a certain somebody. That kinda ruined my night.
My next blog will have the details.
