painting lures

this is an easy pattern to reproduce.
I found these lures in a liquidation basket, so i grabbed them and said to myself i'll paint them. But what color and with what paint?

The other day i saw  my wife putting on some red nail polish.
So i tell her dont put that away i need that when your done with it...she gave me that akward look.
Well it took me about 5 minutes per patient and take the time to put two or three thin coats..this is the result:

the classic red n white pattern

This does'nt require a compresser or and air brush or expensive epoxydes and endless drying time and steps and you dont have to be an artist. and it does'nt cost anything either.

I let them dry off for a few days and the nail polish smell is completely gone and now i will put them back in tackle box. One thing i can tell is that the paint is very resistant to..even when scratched with nail or key. so i won't be worried about i coming off.
