Outdoor Channel Announces The Winners from their 10th Annual Golden Moose Awards (2010)

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Outdoor Channel, America's Leader In Outdoor TV, held the 10th Annual Golden Moose Awards on Thursday, January 21, 2010, from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Honoring the on-air talent, design and graphics personnel, and producers of Outdoor Channel's industry leading programming, the Golden Moose Awards were hosted by celebrated Outdoor Channel personality Michael Waddell, host of Outdoor Channel's popular Bone Collector and Realtree Road Trips series. Approximately 2,000 people from the outdoor industry were in attendance to watch the awards ceremony and to see legendary guitarist and Outdoor Channel personality Ted Nugent perform. Also, Outdoor Channel introduced a new award, The Golden Moose Honorary Award, honoring excellent programs that do not completely fit into the traditional hunting and fishing genres. The winners of those awards were:

Adventure: Savage Wild

During the awards ceremony, Budweiser, who sponsored the Golden Moose Awards, along with the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation awarded the Budweiser 2010 Conservationist of the Year award. The award went to the late Jim Range, founder and conservationist of the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, and was accepted by John Range, Jim's brother.

At the end of the Golden Moose Award ceremony, Ted Nugent - legendary guitarist and host of Outdoor Channel's Spirit of the Wild program brought The Joint down with a rousing, rocking, concert for all of the GMA attendees.
