New Product Promises to Keep Your Boat (and anywhere else) Sand/Dirt Free

I received a mat from a company called CGEAR a few months back, but haven't had an opportunity to give it a proper try-out until recently.  It's called the CGEAR Sand-Free mat and it promises to make boat entries and exits a whole lot cleaner.

CGEAR is a company that made its name creating tactical products from military use.  However it has recently turned its attention to the recreation market, creating products such as the Sand-Free Mat and Multimat to aid with camping and leisure purposes.

The sand-free mat fits perfectly under a two-person tent.

The twin-mesh system utilized in the mat's construction allows sand to pass into one side of the mat and out the other without having to sweep it off or shake the mat out.  You can actually take a hand full of sand and pour it on top of the mat and rub it directly into the mat as you watch it pass out the other side.

The durable construction of both the Multimat and Sand-Free mat make it ideal for use as a camping mat underneath your tent or travel trailer.  However, the biggest selling point for me, as both a fisherman and a fishing guide, was using it as a mat for people to wipe their feet before they get into my boat.  I have a major problem with dirt being tracked in and piling up in my boat, and a product like this is a great fix as it allows people to wipe their feet off before coming in the boat, but also to marvel at the wizardry at work in this product which buys me precious time to size them up for lifejackets before we hit the water.

Probably the coolest thing about using the Sand-Free mat is how easy it is to clean.  To get all of the sand off before you put it away, all you have to do is lift it vertically and every speck of sand falls out of the reservoir between the two mats onto the ground below, leaving the mat completely spotless.
